Er worden een aantal stellingen behandeld die tonen wat een “stille zet” is.
Some positions are discussed to show what a “quiet move” is.
I found these definitions :
“Quiet Moves” are all moves which do not alter material, thus no captures nor promotions.
One can also exclude moves that present imminent threats, such as check.
“Quiet moves” are not a direct attack, usually a move that leads up to a big move.
A “quiet move” is a move that is played as part of a winning combination or forced maneuver,
but which itself is not a capture or a check or a direct threat.
A “quiet move” refers to a move that does not immediately threaten an opponent’s piece or position,
but rather improves the player’s position, prepares for future threats,
or solidifies the position without any immediate tactical consequences.
